THE TEAM'S MISSION THIS YEAR
To enhance our software solutions that facilitate the mapping of entire structures and the generation of realistic 3D models utilizing state-of-the-art robotics technology.
HOW YOU WILL MAKE AN IMPACT
- You will lead the development, testing, enhancement, and maintenance of software and processes for calibrating our Mobile Mapping Systems (MMS).
- You will play a crucial role in the entire calibration lifecycle, from concept to production implementation.
- You will work closely with our production team to identify, escalate, and resolve calibration process and tool issues.
- You will be responsible for creating, maintaining, and refining technical documentation related to calibration.
WHAT WILL HELP YOU SUCCEED IN THE ROLE
- A Master's degree or Ph.D. in computer science, electrical engineering, or a related field.
- A minimum of 3 years of experience in sensor calibration, particularly with cameras, laser scanners/LIDARs, and IMUs.
- Proficiency in C++ development and related tools, along with solid coding skills in Python.
- Familiarity with Linux and command-line operations.
- A strong commitment to data quality and process improvement throughout the calibration workflow.
What would be even better?
- Experience with C++ libraries such as Ceres, ROS, Boost, Eigen, OpenCV, or PCL.
- Background in modeling and solving complex optimization challenges, particularly concerning 2D/3D geometry.
