Position Overview

We are in search of a Retail Training Specialist dedicated to our DACH (Germany, Austria, Switzerland) region, who will be stationed in Munich and will report directly to the Training Manager for Northern Europe.

Key Responsibilities

As a Retail Training Specialist for the DACH region, you will be instrumental in enhancing the capabilities of our Retail Teams across Germany, Austria, and Switzerland. This role involves close collaboration with store management to ensure that teams are equipped to provide the exceptional Bottega Veneta client experience.

Training Delivery

  • Execute training initiatives for Northern Europe, ensuring uniform implementation across DACH stores.
  • Assist the Retail Training Manager for Northern Europe in rolling out corporate training programs covering product knowledge, retail skills, and customer service, alongside monitoring mystery shopping outcomes.
  • Facilitate comprehensive induction sessions for all new team members (both retail and head office).
  • Review and adapt training materials to align with headquarters standards while considering local market needs.
  • Support the Retail Career Program for Brand Ambassadors and Styling Advisors, providing training that fosters individual growth and empowerment.
  • Conduct targeted training sessions tailored to local requirements, focusing on Brand, Products, Sales Techniques, Customer Service, and CRM.
  • Oversee training logistics, including preparation of materials, classroom arrangements, venue selection, and IT setup.

Follow-Up and Evaluation

  • Promote and monitor the use of our digital training platform, ensuring effective engagement with training materials.
  • Develop follow-up tools for participants and on-the-job assessments, regularly collecting feedback.
  • Coach retail management on providing constructive feedback and actionable training insights.
  • Conduct routine store visits to assess training needs, identify quick wins, and share best practices.
  • Maintain and update training databases, including attendance records, participant details, training dates, and evaluations.
  • Prepare training-related reports for key stakeholders.

Training Needs Assessment

  • Collaborate with the Retail Training Manager for Northern Europe, local HR, and Retail Managers to identify training needs within retail teams.
  • Complete the annual training schedule on a monthly basis, informed by field visits and discussions with team members.
  • Regularly analyze local market training needs and develop a tailored training plan, ensuring effective program localization and execution.

Ideal Candidate Profile

  • 3 to 5 years of training experience, preferably within the retail sector or a consultancy environment, with a focus on facilitation and content creation.
  • A motivating, adaptable, and passionate individual.
  • Exceptional communication and organizational abilities.
  • Strong time management skills, capable of working independently.
  • A proactive team player with a solution-oriented mindset.
  • Fluent in both German and English.
  • Proficient in MS Office and e-learning platforms.
  • Willingness to travel and spend up to 80% of time in stores.
