CH-47F Maintenance Test Pilot Position

Position Overview:
The CH-47F Maintenance Test Pilot is tasked with overseeing all aspects related to the maintenance operations of the CH-47 aircraft. This role is critical in ensuring that all maintenance activities adhere to established standards and regulations.
Key Responsibilities:
- Conduct maintenance test flights and ensure compliance with operational specifications.
- Maintain a minimum of 1,000 hours of total Pilot-in-Command (PIC) time, with at least 300 hours on the CH-47F.
- Complete a proficiency check within the last year and hold qualifications for the CH-47F.
- Ensure compliance with maintenance manuals, operational directives, and FAA regulations.
- Oversee flight operations and coordinate maintenance flow effectively.
- Perform troubleshooting and manage maintenance operations.
- Execute other related duties as assigned.
Qualifications:
- High School diploma or equivalent is mandatory.
- Completion of the Army Maintenance Test Pilots Course (MTPC) or equivalent evaluation is preferred.
- Possess a valid FAA Certificate, Rotorcraft, Commercial Pilot with an instrument rating.
- In-depth understanding of FAA regulations and US Army maintenance procedures.
- Ability to obtain and maintain a US Government Security Clearance, specifically a Secret Clearance.
- Valid US Passport is necessary for travel.
Germany Specific Requirements:
- Must qualify for TESA approval with a minimum of five years in aviation maintenance.
- Willingness to travel as required to support operational tasks.
Knowledge & Skills:
- Proficient in reading, writing, and communicating effectively in English.
- Demonstrated aviation experience with a focus on ethics and professionalism.
- Ability to operate navigational and communication equipment on aircraft.
Physical Requirements:
- Ability to work in various environmental conditions, including exposure to noise and potential hazards.
- Must be capable of performing physical tasks such as lifting and climbing.
