Position Overview

As we broaden our reach in Europe, we are seeking a skilled Business Development Manager located in Germany to enhance our European sales efforts. This role involves identifying and securing new business opportunities within German-speaking regions, focusing on the charity, non-profit, and academic sectors.

Key Responsibilities

  • Collaborate with the Head of Sales Germany to formulate a targeted strategy for key markets.
  • Generate valuable leads through effective management of the target account list.
  • Implement a personal sales strategy that drives activities to build a robust pipeline.
  • Maintain and manage a balanced sales pipeline to consistently achieve revenue and margin objectives.
  • Handle RFPs and oversee significant new bids and tenders with assistance from the bid team.
  • Prepare and deliver high-quality client presentations and online demonstrations.
  • Ensure CRM information is current and aligns with sales policies.
  • Identify and participate in client-specific exhibitions and networking events.

Required Skills & Experience

  • Demonstrated success in new business sales within a structured B2B solutions environment, preferably in travel management or the travel industry.
  • A strong motivation for acquiring new business and developing prospects in a competitive landscape.
  • Exceptional written and verbal communication skills in both German and English.
  • Experience in both SME and Enterprise markets.
  • Proficiency in managing and responding to RFPs and tenders.
  • Strong commercial insight and acumen.
  • Experience engaging with travel bookers, procurement heads, Finance Directors, and C-level executives is advantageous.
  • Familiarity with complex sales environments involving multiple stakeholders.
  • Proficient in IT, particularly with Excel, Word, PowerPoint, and database management.
