Role Overview

In this position, you will be deeply involved in coordinating all procurement and supply chain activities. Your focus will be on purchasing operations and technical commodities. With your knowledge and a robust network of suppliers and subcontractors, you will ensure projects are completed on time and within budget. Project sizes will vary based on your experience.

Key Responsibilities
  • Oversee all procurement activities starting from the intent to purchase, including drafting preliminary specifications, selecting preferred suppliers, and scheduling necessary parts and supplies;
  • Engage in negotiations with suppliers to secure the best possible pricing for purchased parts and services while maintaining quality and timely delivery;
  • Procure a range of complex and technical components, materials, and services based on approved requisitions;
  • Manage Purchase Order (PO) maintenance, including ordering, expediting, distribution, approvals, and record-keeping, ensuring compliance with company policies and ISO standards;
  • Resolve issues with suppliers regarding damage claims, rejections, returns, over-shipments, cancellations, and engineering modifications;
  • Lead the management of Return Material Authorizations (RMA) from suppliers as needed;
  • Oversee, develop, and maintain appropriate inventory levels;
  • Actively contribute to continuous improvement initiatives aimed at reducing material costs and collaborate with manufacturing and design engineers on value engineering and analysis of parts.
Qualifications

We welcome candidates with varying levels of experience, from newcomers to seasoned professionals. However, we have certain criteria that are essential for consideration:
  • A (Technical) Bachelor's degree; NEVI certification is advantageous;
  • A minimum of five years of relevant experience or training in an industrial setting dealing with complex technical supplies and materials;
  • Experience with computerized ERP systems;
  • Proven negotiation skills with various stakeholders;
  • Familiarity with electro-mechanical assemblies and equipment;
  • Proficient in IFS or similar MRP/ERP software systems and MS Office;
  • Knowledge of the offshore energy sector is a plus;
  • A valid EU work permit is required.
