Educator or Therapist for Children with Special Needs

We are seeking a dedicated Special Needs Educator or Occupational Therapist (m/f/d) to join our team in the daycare and educational sector, available for both full-time and part-time positions.
The Caritas Association for the Archdiocese of Hamburg e.V. (Caritas in the North) serves as the social welfare organization of the Catholic Church in Northern Germany. Our mission is guided by the principle of "Recognizing needs and taking action". Our integration specialists provide essential support to children and young adults aged 2 to 27 who face physical, mental, or emotional challenges, helping them navigate their daily lives in educational and daycare settings.

Your Role:
- Assist children with physical, mental, or emotional challenges in their daily activities within educational and daycare environments.
- Encourage and enhance the independence of young individuals by providing support for self-sufficiency.
- Offer assistance with mobility and daily living tasks.
- Provide emotional and social support to foster well-being.
- Engage in regular team meetings and supervision sessions to enhance collaborative efforts.
- Work in partnership with various organizations to ensure comprehensive support.
- A degree in special education, pedagogy, or a related field, such as educator, special needs educator, therapeutic educator, or occupational therapist.
- Strong self-reflective skills and a high degree of professionalism and self-management.
- Flexibility in adapting to varied work schedules and a commitment to ongoing professional development.
- Ability to view social work within a collaborative network.
- Independent, organized, and detail-oriented work approach.
- Basic IT skills.
- Alignment with and commitment to our Christian values.
