Professor of Practice in Digital Finance and Technology
Key Responsibilities:
- Engage in both applied and theoretical research within the realms of digital finance and technology, with a focus on blockchain applications;
- Lead the FS Blockchain Centre, fostering a collaborative leadership model that promotes growth across various initiatives (including research projects, partnerships with industry and governmental entities, networking, public relations, and program development); Ensure the Centre's sustainability and explore new avenues for activity;
- Oversee the creation and implementation of high-caliber degree and non-degree programs (such as executive education) in blockchain, financial technologies, and related fields at Frankfurt School, while actively participating in teaching within these programs.
Essential Qualifications:
- A comprehensive understanding of finance (including financial markets, intermediation, asset management, monetary economics, and cryptocurrencies) alongside a solid grasp of the relevant technologies and their applications (such as distributed ledger technologies and tokenization);
- For this tenured position, candidates should possess: A doctoral degree in a relevant discipline from a recognized academic institution, ideally within a business school environment; Significant academic experience with a publication record that encompasses both scholarly and practice-oriented works; Proven track record in securing project funding from external sources (including industry partners); Experience in project development and management, particularly in collaborative projects involving multiple stakeholders; Teaching experience at various educational levels in the aforementioned areas; An interdisciplinary approach and experience working within diverse project teams; Strong leadership and communication abilities, along with the credibility to represent Frankfurt School in the financial technology sector.

- A well-established network at both national and international levels;
- An entrepreneurial mindset with a passion for fostering entrepreneurial ventures (e.g., startups and scale-ups) within the financial technology domain at Frankfurt School;
- Experience in crafting innovative programs and effective networking/communication strategies.
This position will be part of the Finance Department. However, given the interdisciplinary nature of the FS Blockchain Centre, candidates are encouraged to build strong connections with colleagues from other departments and collaborate with academic and industry partners across various fields.
