Position Overview

The Frankfurt School of Finance & Management is seeking a highly qualified Professor of Practice in Digital Finance and Technology to join our faculty. As a Professor of Practice, you will be responsible for conducting applied and fundamental research in the area of digital finance and technologies, including blockchain.

Key Responsibilities
  • Conduct research in digital finance and technologies, including blockchain, and publish high-quality research papers.
  • Develop and lead high-quality degree and non-degree programs in blockchain, financial technologies, and related areas.
  • Provide overall leadership for the FS Blockchain Centre and develop a distributed leadership structure to enable the Centre to grow across its different areas of work.
  • Oversee the development of new lines of activity for the FSBC and ensure its ongoing viability.
  • Take an active role in teaching in programs related to blockchain and financial technologies.
Requirements
  • A sound understanding of both finance and the underlying technologies and their application.
  • A doctoral degree in an area related to the above topics from a reputable academic institution.
  • Several years of academic experience with a publication profile that covers both academic and practice-oriented publications.
  • Experience in obtaining project funding from external partners and experience in project development and execution.
  • Teaching experience across different levels in the areas described above.
  • An interdisciplinary mindset and experience in working in interdisciplinary project teams.
  • Strong leadership and communication skills, and the ability and credibility to represent Frankfurt School in the area of financial technology.

  • A well-established national and international network.
  • An entrepreneurial mindset and the ability to support entrepreneurial activities in the area of financial technology.
  • Experience in developing innovative programs and networking/communication formats.
