Position Overview
We are seeking a skilled Business Development Manager located in Germany to enhance our European sales efforts. This role involves identifying and securing new business opportunities within German-speaking regions, specifically targeting the charity, non-profit, and academic sectors.
Key Responsibilities
- Collaborate with the Head of Sales Germany to establish a targeted strategy for key markets.
- Generate profitable leads through effective management of the target account list.
- Implement a personal sales plan to drive activities and create a robust sales pipeline.
- Maintain a balanced sales pipeline to consistently achieve or exceed revenue and margin goals.
- Manage responses to RFPs and oversee significant new bids and tenders with the support of the bid team.
- Prepare and deliver high-quality client presentations and virtual demonstrations.
- Ensure accurate CRM information is maintained in accordance with sales policies.
- Identify and participate in client-specific exhibitions and networking events.
Required Skills & Experience
- Demonstrated success in new business sales within a structured B2B solutions environment, preferably in travel management or the travel industry.
- A strong motivation for acquiring new business and developing prospects in a competitive landscape.
- Exceptional written and verbal communication skills in both German and English.
- Experience in both SME and Enterprise markets.
- Proficiency in managing and responding to RFPs and tenders.
- Strong commercial awareness and acumen.
- Experience engaging with travel bookers, procurement heads, Finance Directors, and C-level executives is advantageous.
- Familiarity with complex sales environments involving multiple stakeholders.
- Strong IT skills, particularly in Excel, Word, PowerPoint, and database management.
