About the Role

We are seeking a highly skilled and motivated Project Engineering Manager Junior to join our team at Alstom. As a key member of our engineering team, you will be responsible for the end-to-end technical development of sub-scopes of a train-project, ensuring that all technical requirements are met and project objectives are achieved.

Key Responsibilities
  • Design and implement technical definitions that meet project performance, product cost, and scheduling commitments.
  • Manage cross-functional project technical activities and stakeholders at train and sub-system levels.
  • Endorse design authority and related decisions or trade-offs.
  • Lead task-forces or work streams for unplanned activities cross-functionally and within engineering.
  • Manage ENG bid activities in alignment with the product platform.
  • Drive and prepare technical opportunities within running projects up to variation orders from customers.
  • Drive innovation activities within the project and align them with specific product needs.
Key Accountabilities
  • Generate visibility on performance of assigned work packages, work streams, processes, or task-forces.
  • Allocate technical and QCD objectives leveraging existing Alstom platforms and improvement of actual methodologies.
  • Coordinate and monitor cross-functional objectives, activities, and deliverables, development planning, and configuration management for sub-scopes.
  • Support managing technical risks thanks to mitigation plans, including moderating separate task forces on specific technical issues.
  • Generate reporting inputs on project technical and QCD status.

  • Leadership and ability to federate teams on technical orientations to reach QCD targets.
  • Demonstrated capacity to lead cross-functional activities.
  • Ability to support analysis, problem-solving, and efficient decision-making in complex environments.
  • Ability to work across sites in a multi-cultural environment.
  • Interest in new development (innovation) and standardization (platform).
  • Enthusiasm to transfer new ideas and visions to stakeholders and internal teams.
