Warehouse Operations Manager

We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced Warehouse Operations Manager to join our team at Michaels. As a key member of our Distribution Center team, you will be responsible for supervising assigned team members to achieve objectives in production, quality, and safety.
Key Responsibilities- Coordinate with other departments and leadership to ensure the DC's operational goals are attained.
- Establish schedules and plans to meet objectives, monitor operations throughout the shift, and make changes as necessary.
- Identify and promptly resolve production and communications issues that may impact operational success.
- Assure that all team members are working safely and address any behaviors or conditions that may increase safety risk.
- Provide training and guidance to encourage the development of capable, contributing team members.
- Assure that team members comply with corporate, DC, and departmental policies and procedures.
- Coach and motivate team members to improve individual performance.
- High school diploma or equivalent.
- Previous supervisory experience in a comparable operational environment or successful completion of Michaels' CIT training program.
- Demonstrated ability to assess performance levels and analyze productivity and quality results.
- Strong interpersonal skills with the ability to communicate in a professional manner.
- Ability to work a flexible schedule to provide the supervision necessary as business needs change.
- College degree preferred.
- Basic knowledge of warehouse operations in a distribution environment preferred.
- Working knowledge of Michaels' SOPs and policies is a plus.
This position is based in the warehouse with regular exposure to extreme temperatures dependent on external climate and proximity to dock doors/exits. Occasional time is spent in a climate-controlled office/meeting room setting.
Regular exposure to moderate noise level from DC conveyor/sortation system and powered industrial equipment when in the warehouse.

Total Base Pay Range for this Position: $51,000.00 - $68,500.00
