As a Principal Project Manager at Workday, you will transcend the traditional role of a Project Manager; you will act as a trusted advisor to our extensive enterprise clientele. Your responsibilities will include engaging with clients, providing guidance, and ensuring the successful implementation of Workday's premier cloud enterprise software solutions.

You will take charge of empowering and steering our clients' implementations by orchestrating project planning, staffing, governance, and the development of essential project deliverables. Leading cross-functional teams, you will ensure the successful delivery of large-scale and complex Workday deployments. As the primary liaison for both the client and Workday teams, you will collaborate closely with the Customer Project Manager to creatively and effectively resolve any issues that may impede project success. Your mission is to deliver the anticipated value to our clients punctually and within budget, ensuring an exceptional customer experience from project initiation through to go-live.

About You

This role necessitates a unique blend of business acumen, customer-centric focus, and leadership skills to guide and support deployments, ensuring success for both clients and teams.

Basic Qualifications:

  • Languages: Proficiency in German and English
  • 5+ years of demonstrated experience in program/project management, with the ability to juggle multiple projects and prioritize effectively
  • 5+ years of expertise in HCM, Payroll, Financials, or Supply Chain domains
  • Experience with multinational organizations and ERP implementations
  • A balanced combination of functional (business) and technical experience

  • Exceptional oral and written communication skills, including comfort in engaging with senior executives
  • Leadership capabilities to empower and direct the project team towards deployment objectives
  • A consistent track record of successful Project Management delivery within a Professional Services context
  • A passion for ensuring customer success
  • Ability to efficiently investigate customer inquiries and issues, following through to resolution
  • Experience in managing third-party vendors within a project
  • A willingness to actively contribute and assist wherever necessary
