As a Principal Project Manager at Workday, you will transcend the traditional role of a Project Manager, acting as a trusted advisor to our extensive enterprise clientele. Your responsibilities will include engaging with clients, providing guidance, and ensuring successful implementation of Workday's premier cloud enterprise software solutions.
You will take charge of empowering and steering our clients' implementations by establishing project plans, managing staffing, overseeing governance, and shaping critical project deliverables. You will lead cross-functional teams to effectively execute large-scale and complex Workday deployments. Serving as the primary liaison for both the client and Workday teams, you will collaborate closely with the Customer Project Manager to creatively and effectively resolve any challenges that may impede project success. Your objective is to deliver the anticipated value to our clients on schedule and within budget, ensuring an exceptional customer experience from project initiation through to go-live.

About You
This role necessitates a unique blend of business acumen, customer-centric focus, and leadership capabilities to guide and support deployments, ensuring success for both customers and teams.
Basic Qualifications:
- Languages: Proficiency in German and English
- Over 5 years of demonstrated experience in program/project management, with the ability to manage multiple projects and prioritize effectively
- More than 5 years of experience in HCM, Payroll, Financials, or Supply Chain domains
- Experience with multinational organizations and ERP implementations
- A successful candidate will possess a balance of functional (business) and technical expertise
Other Qualifications:
- Exceptional oral and written communication skills, including comfort in engaging with senior executives
- Leadership skills to empower and focus project teams on deployment objectives
- A consistent track record of successful Project Management delivery within a Professional Services context
- A passion for customer success
- Adept at efficiently researching customer issues and questions, ensuring follow-through to resolution
- Experience in managing third-party vendors within projects
- Willingness to actively contribute and assist wherever necessary
