The Supply Chain division oversees all aspects of S&OP, Planning, Customer Service, Master Data, Procurement (Operational Buyers), and Inventory Control at Catalent, Schorndorf. This role entails managing all activities and personnel within the Supply Chain division, providing direction for Customer Services, Planning, S&OP, Master Data, and Material Management.
You will be responsible for coordinating and executing initiatives to achieve strategic goals within the department, seeking guidance from your direct supervisor or peers as necessary. Furthermore, the Director of Supply Chain will establish objectives, supervise work practices for direct reports, and interpret and enforce policies and procedures that typically impact organizational units. This senior-level position necessitates considerable independent judgment, the ability to engage with senior leadership, and the capacity to plan and implement site strategies that align with corporate vision and objectives.
Key Responsibilities
Formulate and execute the site Supply Chain strategy in alignment with Business, Operations, and Quality Strategy. Oversee Commercial supply agreements, ensuring optimal service levels and On-Time Delivery to clients. Address and resolve current and anticipated service challenges through a robust cross-functional S&OP process. Implement and manage the planning and S&OP functions to guarantee efficient processing of customer orders. Collaborate closely with operations and quality teams to devise production/laboratory capacity plans and strategies for both the medium and long term. Negotiate and manage supply agreements while coordinating Supply Chain-related matters with clients. As the liaison with customers and the Operations Team, actively contribute to the development and execution of Catalent (Schorndorf) logistics and planning strategy. Perform additional duties as assigned.Candidate Profile
MS degree (preferred) with over 10 years of experience in providing strategic and operational leadership within a customer-focused planning and logistics environment. Prior experience in the pharmaceutical or biotech sector (CDMO preferred) is essential, with SLT/Board responsibility for Supply Chain. Experience managing Supply Chain in an ERP environment (familiarity with systems like JD Edwards) and system implementation is required. Significant experience in managing personnel and delivering both tactical and strategic leadership to the organization and site. As the liaison with customers and the Operations Team, actively contribute to the development and execution of Catalent (Schorndorf) logistics and planning strategy.
