We are seeking a highly skilled Senior Engineer to join our Order Engineering team at Flowserve. As a key member of our team, you will be responsible for ensuring the technical order processing of dry-running vacuum pumps and systems, as well as managing projects related to maintenance aspects within the OE department.
Your Key Responsibilities:- Ensure market conformity regarding applicable directives and standards, such as the Machinery Directive and ATEX Directive.
- Execute structured risk and/or hazard analyses for customer claims or internal objections, including documentation of corrective actions using common quality tools.
- Provide sales support to achieve a Clear Order status, including reviewing customer specifications and selecting appropriate EIA components.
- Develop, adapt, and maintain EIA documentation, including product maintenance of systems, such as P&IDs, wiring diagrams, and flow charts.
- Transfer EIA knowledge and coordinate order-related topics within the OE network between product development, internal technical support, sales, purchasing, production, service, and quality teams.
- Manage or collaborate in engineering projects and initiatives across different sites.
- Coordinate interdepartmental interfaces and create process descriptions, work, and test instructions to support and stabilize work processes in the OE department.
- Support start-ups in collaboration with other departments, taking into account all relevant Flowserve best practices, policies, guidelines, national and international norms, and standards.
- A completed university education in electrical engineering, instrumentation and automation engineering, communications engineering/physics, or equivalent qualification is required.
- Several years of professional experience in the EIA area of process industry, such as (petro)chemical, pharmaceutical, or similar, as well as related industrial areas, are required.
- Profound knowledge in the use of E-Plan, automation technology/programming/drive technology/instrumentation, and planning and design of electrical systems is required.
- Knowledge in the preparation of hazard analyses/HAZOPs and cooperation/design of PFMEAs is required.
- Interest in current trends and developments of Industry 4.0 and digitalization is required.
- Knowledge in the area of maintenance (preventive/reactive, SMED) and project management with appropriate tools is advantageous.
- Fluent German and English language skills are required.
- Engagement and independent, goal-oriented work style are required.
- Accuracy and abstracting skills are required.
- Knowledge of SAP-R3, CAD-EPlan, and project management is advantageous.
- Additional experience in 3D CAD (Solid Work/Winchill), FEM is advantageous.
