Overview
The Global Security Governance team is composed of committed Information Security professionals dedicated to safeguarding the organization's data assets and infrastructure on a global scale. This team is tasked with establishing and executing a risk-oriented Information Security Management framework across the organization. The Governance Team oversees the application of established protocols and conducts evaluations to identify vulnerabilities and formulate risk mitigation strategies. Leveraging this expertise and the latest technological advancements, the team collaborates with IT and Business units to enhance enterprise-wide Information Security.
The Lead Information Security Strategist (LISS) serves as a key authority for all assurance initiatives concerning the availability, integrity, and confidentiality of sensitive information pertaining to clients, partners, employees, and organizational data, in alignment with the company's information security policies. A crucial aspect of this role involves partnering with the Chief Information Officer, Chief Information Security Officer, and senior leadership to establish acceptable risk thresholds for the organization. This position is accountable for developing and sustaining a comprehensive information security management program to ensure robust protection of information assets.
Key Responsibilities
Evaluate IT needs and provide impartial guidance on information security requirements Design and implement effective technical and organizational information security measures Oversee the deployment of security protocols and system upgrades on both internal and outsourced platforms Collect insights from Business, corporate risk management, IT compliance, legal, and IT operations to enhance the Information Security Management System (ISMS) Maintain a comprehensive information security risk register and support internal and external audits related to information security Assist in the development, maintenance, and delivery of information security awareness training for staff Collaborate closely with the Security Operations Center to identify potential IT/IS vulnerabilities and formulate/update mitigation strategies Engage with stakeholders regarding information security needs and provide forward-looking recommendations Conduct assessments to verify the implementation status of defined ISMS controls across all organizational entities and suppliers Produce reports tailored for both technical and non-technical audiences and stakeholdersRequired Qualifications
MBA in Information Systems is preferred A minimum of 3 to 7 years of experience in risk management, information security, and IT roles Exceptional written and verbal communication skills in both English and German, coupled with a high degree of personal integrity Comprehensive understanding of the internal organizational landscape and its connection to the external business environment Strong business management acumen and knowledge of risk management in the context of information security and cybersecurity technologies Creative problem-solving and leadership capabilities with the ability to inspire and guide cross-functional teams Professional security management certification is advantageous, such as Certified Information Systems Security Professional (CISSP), Certified Information Security Manager (CISM), Certified Information Systems Auditor (CISA), or equivalent credentials Familiarity with prevalent information security management frameworks, including ISO/IEC, ITIL, BSI, and NIST frameworks Experience in managing an ISMS in accordance with ISO/NIST standards Proficiency in contract and vendor negotiation and governance, including managed services Strong command of both German and English (spoken and written)Perks
