Summary Statement
The Ottobock Security Governance team comprises dedicated Cyber Security professionals committed to safeguarding Ottobock's information assets and infrastructure on a global scale. This team is tasked with defining and executing a risk-based Cyber Security Management strategy across the Ottobock Group. The Cyber Security Governance Team actively monitors the implementation of established controls and conducts reviews to evaluate risks and formulate mitigation strategies. Leveraging this expertise and the latest technological advancements, the team collaborates with IT and Business departments to enhance enterprise Cyber Security worldwide.
The Lead Cyber Security Strategist (CSS) serves as a key process owner for all assurance activities concerning the availability, integrity, and confidentiality of customer, business partner, employee, and organizational information, in alignment with the company's information security policies. A crucial aspect of this role involves partnering with the CIO, CISO, and executive management to establish acceptable risk levels for the organization. This position is responsible for developing and maintaining a comprehensive information security management program to ensure the protection of information assets.
Duties & Responsibilities
- Evaluate IT requirements and provide objective guidance on information security needs.
- Design and implement effective technical and organizational measures for information security.
- Oversee the installation of security measures and system upgrades on both internal and outsourced systems.
- Collect feedback from Business, corporate risk management, IT compliance, legal, and IT operations to enhance the Information Security Management System (ISMS).
- Maintain an information security risk register and support internal and external audits related to information security.
- Assist in the creation, maintenance, and delivery of cyber security awareness training for employees.
- Collaborate closely with the Security Operations Center to identify potential IT/IS vulnerabilities and develop/update mitigation plans accordingly.
- Engage with stakeholders regarding cyber security requirements and provide future recommendations.
- Conduct reviews to assess the implementation status of defined ISMS controls across all Ottobock Group entities and suppliers.
- Generate reports tailored for both technical and non-technical staff and stakeholders.
Qualifications
- MBA in Information Systems is preferred.
- A minimum of 3 to 7 years of experience in risk management, information security, and IT roles.
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills in English and German, along with a high level of personal integrity.
- Understanding of the internal organizational environment and its relationship to the external business landscape.
- Strong business management skills and knowledge of risk management for cyber security and related technologies.
- Innovative thinking and leadership capabilities to guide and motivate cross-functional, interdisciplinary teams.
- Professional security management certification is desirable, such as CISSP, CISM, CISA, or comparable credentials.
- Familiarity with common information security management frameworks, including ISO/IEC, ITIL, BSI, and NIST frameworks.
- Experience in operating an ISMS according to ISO/NIST standards.
- Experience with contract and vendor negotiation and governance, including managed services.
- Proficient in both German and English (speaking and writing).
