About the Role
- As a Senior Agronomic Modeler, you'll develop state-of-the-art models for agricultural, environmental, and biological processes.
- You'll embed these models into decision support systems for crop health management, including pests, diseases, and weeds, as well as enhance field-specific decision logics for farmers and advisors.
- You'll proactively drive the global model development, validation, and calibration pipeline automation and train the modeler team.
- You'll align with agronomy experts and developers worldwide to define development and modeling capabilities.
- You'll define data needs for model development and validation trials and actively monitor and ensure in-season model performance.
What We're Looking For
- A PhD or master's degree with a proven professional track record.
- In-depth knowledge in phytopathology, R&D management, model development, statistics, and relevant analysis methods.
- Profound experience with programming languages, including Python, and Java.
- Basic experience with databases.
- Excellent communication and presentation skills in English.
