Position: Social Work Specialist

Stützrad gGmbH has been a pioneer in delivering a diverse and innovative array of services in the realm of child and youth welfare for over two decades. With a dedicated team of approximately 150 full-time employees, alongside numerous volunteers and freelancers, we prioritize fostering a nurturing organizational environment and optimal working conditions for our staff. This commitment ensures that our team is well-equipped to tackle the demanding and responsible tasks at hand.

We are currently in search of multiple social work specialists to join our initiative focused on social work within kindergartens, particularly those with cultural and linguistic expertise.

Role Overview

Employment Type: Immediate

Work Hours: Various roles available, ranging from 15 to 39 hours per week across different districts.

Compensation: Salary classified according to TV-L S 11b

Your Key Responsibilities:

  • Conducting regular consultation hours at designated kindergartens
  • Offering guidance and support to parents
  • Assisting kindergarten staff in organizing parent meetings and addressing child protection matters
  • Facilitating and participating in various meetings and community events
  • Connecting families with local support services
  • Building and nurturing local networks to assist families
  • Engaging in relevant committees
  • Consistent participation in team meetings
Qualifications

Ideal Candidates Will Have:

  • A degree in social pedagogy or a related field
  • Strong consultation skills, with additional qualifications in systemic counseling being a plus
  • Experience in integrating into the kindergarten system while maintaining professional boundaries
  • Comprehensive knowledge of legal frameworks, particularly SGB VIII
  • Experience addressing child welfare concerns
  • Proficiency in multiple languages
  • A resource-oriented approach
  • Ability to work independently in various settings
