Key Responsibilities
- Architect and implement data models along with ETL pipelines and frameworks necessary for our operational business lines, while supporting data analytics and reporting requirements.
- Collaborate with interdisciplinary teams to gather data needs and create data model solutions that fulfill those needs.
- Establish and document data standards, policies, and governance processes to guarantee the accuracy, completeness, and consistency of data assets across operational business lines.
- Oversee the complete data lifecycle, which includes data modeling, database architecture, data integration, data quality, and data security.
- Ensure that data architectures and models are designed to be scalable, maintainable, and adaptable to meet current and future business needs.
- Provide technical leadership and direction to the development team to ensure proper implementation of data architectures and models.
- Adhere to Uniper's data governance framework within the COO area.
- Contribute insights and recommendations to enhance Uniper's data capabilities through our learning platform.
Candidate Profile
- Master’s degree in Information Technology, Business Administration, Statistics, Applied Mathematics, Information Systems, or a related field.
- Minimum of 10 years of experience in data engineering, ETL/ELT processes, with a preference for candidates who have served as a Senior Data Architect in a dynamic and complex business environment.
- Proven ability to work in alignment with the Uniper Way.
- Demonstrated expertise in building and developing ETL pipelines, dimensional data models, and data warehouse solutions.
- Relevant certifications such as Microsoft MCP Solution Architect, Snowpro Core, and Snowpro Advanced Architect are advantageous.
- Strong skills in database design, data integration, data architecture, data warehousing, and dimensional modeling, particularly with Kimball and data mesh methodologies.
- Proficient in SQL, Snowflake, Python, and Azure Data Factory.
- Practical experience with Talend jobs and batch processing.
- Familiarity with A/B testing and a comprehensive understanding of key metrics that drive long-term business health.
- Hands-on experience in data modeling at both conceptual and physical levels, utilizing modeling tools such as Oracle Modeler or similar.
- Skills in data analytics and data science, with experience in Python libraries (pandas, scikit-learn, Keras, TensorFlow).
- Dependable, diligent, and capable of delivering results.
- Ability to inspire and empower others to achieve higher standards.
- Proficient in English, with additional languages being a plus.
