Sächsisches Krankenhaus für Psychiatrie und Neurologie Altscherbitz is seeking qualified Psychiatrists or Physicians in advanced training for the field of Psychiatry and Psychotherapy, available for both part-time and full-time positions in our psychiatric day clinics located in Schkeuditz.

With a rich history in the north-west region of Saxony, the Saxon Hospital Altscherbitz boasts a total of 343 inpatient beds across various specialties, including Psychiatry, Neurology, and Forensic Psychiatry. Our facilities encompass 4 day clinics, a comprehensive outpatient department, and two medical centers. With over 147 years of experience, we are dedicated to merging modern healthcare values with our longstanding traditions. Our team of 600 professionals emphasizes interdisciplinary collaboration and collegial support in our daily operations.

Your key responsibilities will include:

  • Assessment, care, and treatment of patients, including family involvement
  • Conducting thorough psychiatric evaluations
  • Collaborating on and executing contemporary psychiatric and psychotherapeutic treatment strategies
  • Participating in on-call responsibilities

As a specialist, you will also:

  • Oversee budgeting within your department while enhancing the clinic's financial health
  • Engage in quality management initiatives and assist in certification processes
  • Contribute to the training of junior medical staff and the multidisciplinary team
  • Participate in standby duties, particularly for background services

We are looking for candidates who possess:

  • A valid German medical license and advanced training in Psychiatry and Psychotherapy or recognized specialization in the field
  • Interest and organizational capabilities in developing or expanding day clinic services
  • Extensive knowledge and experience in the area, including prevention and rehabilitation
  • The ability to interact with patients in a respectful and empathetic manner, demonstrating openness and professional dedication
  • A willingness to work collaboratively within a multidisciplinary team
