About the Role
We are seeking a highly skilled Software Project Lead to join our team at BMW Group. As a key member of our software development team, you will be responsible for leading the development of our infotainment platform.
Key Responsibilities
- Lead software development teams through sub-organizations to deliver high-quality software products.
- Manage software deliveries of multiple domains for the next infotainment system, ensuring timely and successful project execution.
- Collaborate with the software management team to set targets, milestones, and time schedules, and drive planning and tracking of backlog items.
- Review and approve software deliveries according to requirement fulfillment and milestones, and manage changes in requirements and priorities.
- Report progress against set priorities and objectives to the head unit project management.
Requirements
- University degree in Computer Science or a related field.
- Minimum 5 years of experience in program, technology, or software project management.
- Proven experience in introducing agile practices in software organizations.
- Strong experience in leading large, distributed software development teams.
- Proven track record in planning, organizing, and executing through others.
- Experience with different software domains on Linux systems, preferably in context of embedded devices.
- Experience in delivering products that include open source components is beneficial.
- Ability to make hard decisions about software development scope and priorities.
