Key Responsibilities
- Conduct an independent analysis of the current emission market framework in the United Kingdom (UK ETS).
- Create an environmental market model informed by fundamental market drivers.
- Collect insights on anticipated future behaviors of market participants, including industrial players and the energy sector.
- Validate your model against leading models in the field and engage in constructive discussions with the team regarding model assumptions and outcomes.
- Contribute to scientific evaluations concerning the potential effects of a linkage between the EU and UK ETS.
Candidate Profile
- Currently enrolled in a master's program in Engineering (preferably in energy, renewables, or sustainability systems) or (Energy) Economics at a reputable institution.
- Proficient in MS Office Suite and Python (or a comparable programming language).
- A proactive approach, coupled with strong analytical and problem-solving capabilities.
- Previous experience in energy and market modeling is advantageous.
- Fluent in English (both spoken and written); proficiency in German is a plus.
