At Uniper, we're shaping the future of energy. As a key member of our Market Analysis Power and Renewables team, you'll play a crucial role in driving our company's transformation.

Your Responsibilities

  • Gain a deep understanding of the UK Emission Trading Scheme (UK ETS) and its current market design.
  • Develop a comprehensive environmental market model based on fundamental drivers.
  • Conduct research on the expected behavior of market participants, including industrial participants and the energy industry.
  • Validate your model against other state-of-the-art models and engage in collaborative discussions with the team to refine model assumptions and results.
  • Contribute to in-depth analyses on the potential implications of a linkage between the EU and UK ETS.

Your Profile

  • Pursuing a master's degree in Engineering (energy, renewables, or sustainability systems preferred) or (Energy) Economics from a reputable institution.
  • Proficiency in MS Office Suite and Python (or a similar programming language).
  • A proactive mindset, strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
  • Previous work or project experience in energy & market modelling is a plus.
  • Fluency in English (verbal and written), German is a plus.
