Position Overview
Serco stands as a prominent provider of Space Services, equipped with a vast pool of skilled professionals who have successfully supported numerous space missions for various Space and Government agencies worldwide, including notable organizations like ESA and NASA. Our expertise spans the entire space lifecycle, from satellite testing to launch services, and encompasses spacecraft operations, space surveillance, and data management, alongside the development of downstream applications. With over 55 years of experience in the space sector, Serco is ideally positioned to assist in National strategies and New Space initiatives aimed at scaling their operations with qualified talent.
We are currently seeking a proactive Software PA Support Engineer to contribute to our projects. This role presents a unique opportunity to collaborate with one of the leading space agencies globally.
Key Responsibilities
As a Software PA Support Engineer, your primary focus will be on the following:
Assist in defining the programmatic and technical software PA requirements in alignment with ESA Software policy. Assess contractors' proposals, technical specifications, and efforts for executing the Software PA program. Oversee and analyze Software PA reports, analyses, and technical documentation. Engage in project reviews, meetings, Configuration Control Boards, Non-conformance Review Boards, and Software Review Boards. Prepare design trade-offs, analyses, and reports utilizing metrics to inform project decisions. Participate in software product evaluations and process assessments. Create and maintain databases to monitor Non-Conformance Reports (NCRs), Requests for Waivers (RFWs), action items, and other relevant documentation.Ideal Candidate Profile
Are you the ideal candidate we seek? Below are the qualifications and experience we value: :
A Master's degree or equivalent in IT Systems or (Network) Engineering. A minimum of 4 years of relevant professional experience. Familiarity with the management, operation, and maintenance of critical data center IT systems, along with a comprehensive understanding of M&E equipment in modern critical data center environments. ITIL Service Lifecycle Foundation and CNET Data Centre Certification are advantageous. Ability to thrive in a diverse and multinational team setting. Strong interpersonal skills complemented by excellent organizational and communication capabilities. Proficiency in English, both written and spoken. Knowledge of an additional EU member state language is a plus.-
