Product and Quality Assurance Engineer

We are seeking a highly skilled Product and Quality Assurance Engineer to join our Flight Operations team within an established Earth Observation service onsite in Darmstadt. As a key member of our team, you will be responsible for ensuring the quality and reliability of our space operations.
Key Responsibilities- Configure and Maintain Quality Tools: Develop and implement quality tools to ensure efficient and effective quality management.
- Anomaly Tracking and Resolution: Track and process all anomalies in relevant databases, both ground and spacecraft related, and support ground & spacecraft Anomaly Review Boards (ARBs).
- Product Tree Maintenance: Maintain the product tree of each mission to reflect the evolving configuration baseline.
- Reporting and Documentation: Regularly report the FOS configuration and its baseline documentation, and provide quality review of documents on request.
- Change Management: Track and process all change requests, and stimulate the regular assessment of FOS risks and reflect the update in the relevant risk registers.
- Lessons Learned and Document Production: Stimulate the collection of lessons learned after major mission phases, and survey document production.
- Quality Management System (QMS) Compliance: Monitor compliance to applicable QMS procedures and support the team for every occurring audit.
- Simulation and Debriefing Support: Attend agreed simulation sessions and support the chasing of actions raised in the Debriefing.
- Service Operations Contract Support: Support the service operations contract in terms of the reporting, KPI and relevant information quality.
- Product and Quality Assurance Experience: Proficient in Product and Quality Assurance of Missions in Development and Operations.
- Operational Experience: Experience in working in an operational environment.
- Configuration Management: Fully proficient in Configuration Management.
- Risk Management: Previous experience in operational experience on risk management process (risk register, trend, acceptance).
- Quality Management System: Familiar with Quality Management system, if ESOC QMS will be a strong asset.
- ECSS and ISO Standards: Familiarity with ECSS Standards applicable to the Ground Segment and the ISO 9001 Standard.
- Communication and Coordination: Proven experience in coordination of anomalies investigation and resolution, report generation, and ability to coordinate activities internal and external to the FOS team.
