About the Role
We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced Tax professional to join our team as Head of Tax. This is a key role that will play a critical part in shaping our tax landscape and ensuring compliance with all relevant tax laws and regulations.
Key Responsibilities
- Act as the main point of contact for all tax matters globally, providing expert advice and guidance to the business.
- Oversee all direct and indirect tax reporting, working closely with external tax advisors to ensure accuracy and compliance.
- Ensure that monthly, quarterly, and annual tax calculations are in accordance with local and international GAAP.
- Review and adjust existing tax processes and reporting in preparation for IPO.
- Regularly update the tax fact book and VAT risk assessment in relevant countries.
- Help design and implement tax policies and strategies that align with the company's overall business objectives.
- Prepare tax correspondence and conduct research as needed.
- Drive efficiency through digitizing and simplifying operations and processes.
- Lead tax audits and ad-hoc projects and initiatives cross-functionally.
About You
We are looking for a highly qualified and experienced Tax professional with a strong background in direct and indirect tax. The ideal candidate will have:
A master's degree in a field of study related to tax.Several years of international experience in the field of direct and indirect tax, ideally with a Tech and/or fast-growing company and/or in a tax advising company.Qualification as a German tax advisor or comparable is a plus.Good organizational skills with the ability to manage priorities and cooperate with the team to execute in a fast-paced environment.You are result-oriented, comfortable working in a collaborative environment, and have an eye for continuously automating and improving processes.Profound knowledge of Accounting systems (Datev or comparable).You are self-motivated to continuously tackle challenges and improve our business.You have excellent MS Office skills (with a focus on Excel) and preferably some experience in using Financial Performance Management tools.You are fluent in German and English.What We Offer
