Your Mission

We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced Business Development Leader to spearhead our efforts in identifying, developing, and securing new business opportunities. The ideal candidate will possess a strong background in strategic planning, team leadership, and forging robust relationships with partners, stakeholders, and clients.

This role demands a blend of market insight and curiosity, exceptional communication skills, and a proven track record in driving revenue growth. You will be responsible for overseeing the transition from the current VP Sales, who is gradually transitioning into retirement.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Develop and execute strategic plans to expand our customer base, cultivate a robust revenue funnel, and secure new development contracts.
  • Lead, mentor, and scale the business development and regional sales teams to achieve organizational success.
  • Cultivate and maintain strong, enduring relationships with clients.
  • Collaborate closely with customers to comprehend their business needs and objectives.
  • Effectively communicate our value proposition through compelling proposals and presentations.
  • Negotiate contracts and finalize agreements to maximize profitability.
  • Partner with internal teams, including marketing, operations, and product development, to refine our go-to-market strategy.

Your Profile:

  • A Bachelor's degree in Business Administration, Sales, Engineering, or a related field; an MBA is highly advantageous.
  • Demonstrated experience as a Business Development Director or similar role within the sales/marketing sector of custom technology hardware-related technologies.
  • Proven ability to develop client-centric, differentiated, and achievable solutions.
  • A demonstrated track record of driving the sales process from initiation to closure.
  • Strong business acumen and industry expertise.
  • Exceptional mentoring, coaching, and people management skills.
