Job Overview

We are seeking a skilled professional to take on the role of Radio Frequency Engineer, where you will be responsible for a variety of tasks critical to our operations.

Key Responsibilities

Your primary duties will include:

  • Conducting RF-Compatibility Tests and Internet of Things (IoT) activities.
  • Maintaining and updating Interface Requirements Documents and Interface Control Documents for RF Subsystems and IoT testing tools.
  • Leading and coordinating the upkeep of RF Subsystems and RF IoT tools, while reviewing pertinent technical documentation. You will ensure that all RF testing equipment is calibrated throughout the testing period.

Required Qualifications

The ideal candidate will possess the following skills:

  • A university degree (or equivalent) in a relevant engineering or scientific field such as telecommunications, electronics, or radio frequency.
  • Demonstrated experience in ground station operations (TT&C and Mission Data Acquisition) within a real-time 24/7 spacecraft operational environment, preferably in Earth Observation.
  • Proficiency in RF testing of space-to-ground interfaces at both satellite and ground station levels.
  • Experience in RF design related to space-to-ground interfaces.
  • Expertise in Ka-band link design or testing.
  • Strong analytical, synthesis, and presentation skills.
  • Excellent interpersonal and communication abilities, with a knack for effective collaboration in a multidisciplinary team environment.
  • A proactive approach to learning and skill development to enhance service operations.
  • A systematic work methodology.
  • Strong planning skills to manage tight schedules and multiple responsibilities.
  • Capability to perform effectively under pressure and manage complex tasks with minimal supervision.
  • Proficiency in creating precise, concise, and coherent technical documentation and reports.

Additional Skills (Preferred)

Candidates with the following skills will be viewed favorably:

  • Experience with major upgrades or evolutions of operational ground stations.
  • Knowledge in defining and implementing verification and validation activities for ground stations.
  • Skills in defining, verifying, and validating interfaces between ground stations and ground segments.
  • Ability to diagnose and rectify first-line hardware and software failures in ground stations.
  • Experience in preparing requirements, design, interfaces, and testing documentation.
  • Familiarity with document management and configuration control processes.
  • Knowledge of user interface design for operations (HMI, reports, etc.).
  • Understanding of relevant technical standards (e.g., ECSS, CCSDS).
  • Experience with baseband operation and configuration.
  • Familiarity with monitoring and control tools.
  • Knowledge of Space Link Extension (SLE) operation and/or configuration.
