Job Overview
We are seeking a skilled professional to engage in a variety of responsibilities related to Radio Frequency (RF) systems. The successful candidate will be involved in the following key tasks:
- Conducting RF compatibility assessments and Internet of Things (IoT) activities.
- Maintaining and updating Interface Requirements Documents and Interface Control Documents pertinent to RF systems and IoT testing tools.
- Leading and coordinating the upkeep of RF systems and IoT tools, along with reviewing associated technical documentation. It is essential to ensure that all RF testing equipment is calibrated throughout the testing period.
Required Qualifications
The ideal candidate will possess the following mandatory qualifications:
- A university degree (or equivalent) in a relevant engineering or scientific field such as telecommunications, electronics, or radio frequency.
- Demonstrated experience in ground station operations (TT&C and Mission Data Acquisition) within a real-time 24/7 spacecraft operations environment, preferably in Earth Observation.
- Proficiency in RF testing for space-to-ground interfaces at both satellite and ground station levels.
- Experience in RF design related to space-to-ground interfaces.
- Expertise in Ka-band link design or testing.
- Strong analytical, synthesis, and presentation skills.
- Excellent interpersonal, communication, and reporting abilities, with a capacity to engage effectively within a team and across multidisciplinary contexts.
- A proactive approach to learning and developing the necessary skills to contribute to service operations, with the ability to quickly assimilate information from various sources.
- A systematic work methodology.
- Competence in planning and managing tight schedules and multiple tasks.
- Capability to perform effectively under pressure and manage complex assignments with minimal supervision.
- Proficiency in producing accurate, concise, and coherent technical documentation and reports.
Additional Skills (Preferred)
Candidates with the following additional skills will be considered favorably:
- Experience with major upgrades or enhancements of operational ground stations.
- Involvement in the definition and execution of verification and validation activities for ground stations.
- Expertise in defining, verifying, and validating interfaces between ground stations and ground segments.
- Skills in diagnosing and rectifying first-line hardware and software failures in ground stations.
- Experience in preparing requirements, design, interfaces, and testing documentation.
- Familiarity with document management and configuration control processes.
- Knowledge of user interface definitions for operations (HMI, reports, etc.).
- Understanding of relevant technical standards (e.g., ECSS, CCSDS).
- Experience with baseband operations and configurations.
- Proficiency in using monitoring and control tools.
- Familiarity with Space Link Extension (SLE) operations and configurations.
