Role OverviewAs a Senior Network Engineer, you will play a critical role in the system engineering of Rivada's satellite constellation. Your primary responsibility will be to enhance our team through the planning and design of the constellation's network infrastructure. You will ensure the system is optimized for future functionality while addressing the complexities of operating a global communication network. Additionally, you will collaborate with the system operations preparation team in the networking domain.
Key ResponsibilitiesYour duties will include:
- Developing IP addressing schemes and MPLS switching strategies
- Implementing various routing protocols
- Creating simulation scenarios utilizing network simulation software
- Conducting troubleshooting through network packet analysis
- Refining and articulating requirements for the system and its subsystems to ensure thoroughness and clarity
- Collaborating with the network operations preparation team to consolidate operational scenarios
- Designing network flow diagrams for different operational scenarios
The ideal candidate will possess:
- A degree in telecommunications, electrical engineering, or computer science
- A minimum of 10 years of experience in a telecommunications environment
- At least 3 years of experience with MPLS in large network operations
- Expertise in MPLS L2 and L3 VPNs, LDP, and MPLS Traffic Engineering
- Strong knowledge of routing protocols such as OSPF, BGP, and EIGRP, as well as Spanning Tree Protocol
- Proficiency in Linux operating systems
- Python programming experience
- Familiarity with network simulation tools (e.g., Dynamips, GNS3)
- Experience with packet analysis tools
- Basic understanding of mobile networks (LTE and 5G)
- Desirable CCNP certification
- Fluency in English
