Doctoral Researcher/PhD

The position is offered for a period of 3 years within the DFG funded project on Predictive Modelling for Cochlea Implant Success for Children.

The starting date is as soon as possible. The position is full-time with salary and benefits commensurate with a public service position in the state Hesse, Germany (TV-H E 13, 100 %).

**Tasks**:

- design, implement, train, evaluate multimodal machine learning models
- develop XAI (eXplainable AI) methods to understand (and correct) model behaviour
- publish results in top-tier academic conferences and journals

The position is limited to a time period deemed adequate for the completion of a doctoral degree. As part of the assigned duties, there will be ample opportunity to conduct the independent scientific research necessary for the completion of a doctorate. The limitation complies to - 2, 1 WissZeitVG.

**Profile**:

- MSc-degree Computer Science or a related field
- expertise and experience in machine learning
- strong programming skills, including deep learning frameworks
- You are an enthusiastic and highly motivated researcher
- good team spirit and like to work in an interdisciplinary and internationally oriented environment
- fluent in English, knowledge of the German language is beneficial
