Scope of workfull-time position suitable for part-time**Responsibilities**:
Duties include teaching and research in the respective department or institute. Research associates may also pursue independent research and further academic qualifications as well as acquire teaching experience. These duties are intended to promote academic achievement. Therefore, at least one-third of set working hours will be made available for the associate’s own academic work.
Specific Duties
The Department of „Mechanisms of Learning and Change“ at the Institute of Psychology is looking for a postdoctoral researcher in the field of cognitive neuroscience. The post includes teaching and research obligations. Own research is supported and postdoctoral researchers are supported in developing an individual academic research profile. Research has to fall into the bigger scope of reinforcement learning, memory and decision-making in the human brain, ideally using advanced neuroimaging techniques and/or computational modelling (fMRI/EEG). Teaching duties include 4,0 academic hours per week during teaching periods (two times 14 weeks per year), and the supervision of students on bachelor and master level as well as the co-supervision of PhD students. Teaching and supervision can be done in English.
The position will last for 3 years, with the possibility of contract extension depending on funding availability. The position is available from August 1st 2023 on. Later start dates are possible, but long delays in commencing the post are less desirable. The position must start no later than October 1st 2023.
