Scope of workpart-time
Weekly hours50 % of standard work hours per week**Responsibilities**:
Research associates will be expected primarily to teach and conduct research. The research associate will also have the opportunity to pursue further academic qualifications, in particular a doctoral dissertation. At least one-third of set working hours will be made available for the research associate’s own academic work.
The teaching load comprises 2 hours p/w.
**Profile**:
A university degree in a relevant field.
Master’s degree in Physics. This is a highly interdisciplinary project and students with an interdisciplinary, international background are highly encouraged.
Experience with two of the following fields is an asset:
- knowledge of Python, C, Wolfram Mathematica or other programming language
- excellent foundation of solid-state and nanostructure physics
- experience with synchrotron-based characterization methods
- experience with photon-in photon-out spectroscopy
- experience with solar energy research
- experience with electron microscopy
