The Cell Production and Support group within the
- _Global Cellular Sciences_ department at Evotec headquarters in Hamburg is seeking a highly motivated and dedicated- Group Leader (all genders)- Cellular Sciences- Full-time and permanent- Your key responsibilities:
- Manage project teams, collaborate with external and internal clients within Evotec
- Mentor and lead a group of skilled scientists and their teams, provide expert guidance, and support clear personal development for the team
- Oversee small to large-scale production and cell banking projects
- Allocate resources efficiently to meet business requirements and timelines
- Develop and implement new technical capabilities to impact future collaborations and research projects
- Optimize and automate cell culture workflows
- Ensure project goals are achieved with high speed and quality, ensuring customer satisfaction
- Drive the preparation and review of scientific proposals to generate new business opportunities
- Define, track, and report suitable KPIs to ensure quality and efficiency of processes
- Work within a global team according to GxP standards

Your qualifications:

- PhD in cell biology, biological sciences, or a related scientific area
- Many years of industrial experience in biological sciences, cell biology, or a related scientific area
- State of the art knowledge of ethical and compliance guidelines in the work with mammalian cell lines and primary cells
- Additional experience in performing cell-based assays, assay development, and assay validation is a plus
- Demonstrated leadership in early drug discovery projects is desirable
- Strong line management skills to lead a group of scientists and their teams of laboratory technicians
- Effective communication style to interact across functions, geographies, and cultures both within the company and with clients
- Ability to independently plan, manage, and execute multiple projects efficiently
- Self-starting personality with high levels of autonomy, enthusiasm, and commitment
- Excellent command of the English language; German language proficiency is a plus
