**Job description**
**REQUIREMENTS**

- Technical understanding respectively product familiarity

**SUMMARY /BASIC FUNCTIONS**:
To Provide support to Grupo Carso with Procurement and Logistic at the best market conditions obtained.
**ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES**:
- Find new suppliers for raw material, equipment and components as to have different possibilities for the plants.
- Submit / Review written or verbal requests for quotation to vendors.
- Check with Partner that supplier quoted prices meet at least their negotiation.
- Negotiate payment terms
- Reduce lead times and standard packs from series materials.
- Inform supplier about needed documents and how to issue these like EUR1, certificate oforigin, invoice including customs declaration number.
- Check USA issued P.O. ́s regarding STD pack quantities, prices and part numbers and makenecessary changes and approvals before sending to supplier.
- Check order confirmation from suppliers against PO and report any discrepancy tosupplier.
- Check weekly through out the “Open File” with supplier that price, Std Packs and Leadare proper entered in the system.
- Report any increase in Lead-time, standard pack or price to the Gral manager Europe.
- Create suppliers, items, sales orders and purchase orders in Oracle system
- Coordinate between supplier and forwarder to optimize container packing and reducevalue of shipping cost in comparison to material cost
- Participates in /and if necessary prepare and organize / negotiations for components,materials and equipment with suppliers, emphasizing quantities, annual volume.
- Participate in Cost Reduction Conferences (CRC) with the factories
- Develop together with the plant additional sources/suppliers to find advantage in price,quality or lead times.
- Follow up quality problems and guaranty issues, coordinating between plant and supplier
- Update Oracle system prices according to the internal Company exchange rate.
- Solve pricing and accounting issues between accounting, plant and supplier.
- Participate in the improvement of processes.
- Substitute as request any college during vacation, business trips etc.
- Any other responsibilities as required.
**QUALIFICATIONS/EDUCATION AND EXPERIENCE**:

- Completed studies in mechanical engineering, automotive technology, or further training as a mechanical engineering technician.
- Professional experience within the automotive industry in the area of electrical/ electronics
- You also have very good knowledge of EB-Cable, Preevision or Ldorado
- Commitment and initiative.
- Reliable, accurate operation.
- Good German speaker as well as English/ Spanish language
