Job Description

As a Labour Law & Labour Relations Specialist, you have responsibility and accountability for the areas of Labour Law and Labour Relations for the country(ies) in scope, in this case Germany. You are responsible for implementation of global deliveries and processes, policies, and guidelines. You secure that local laws, practices and needs are captured and catered for. You facilitating alignment between global and local needs to achieve a common approach and delivery where needed.

**Your main responsibilities include**:
Represent H&M Group, build and manage proactive and constructive relations with local work councils and unions
Responsible for negotiations with local work councils and unions, incl. collective bargaining negotiations when needed
Interpret and draft various employment agreements and templates
Provide legal support, secure compliance, and represent H&M Group as an employer in the local market
Conduct and support arbitration processes and disputes
Ensure that individual cases, internal investigations, incidents, and disciplinary actions are managed according to group standards and local laws
Supporting the local Grievance mechanism and connected tools
Advise management on contracts, worker grievances, and disciplinary procedures and secure all Managers have relevant competence and tools regarding Labour Law/ Labour relations
Implement and adapt H&M Group CoE People Relation guidelines and frameworks according to local laws and set local strategy for stakeholder engagement

**Qualifications**:
Education

Formal education within Labour Law ( minimum 1st state examination)

Experience

First experience of working with work councils and/or unions, Policy Development
Up-to-date knowledge of employment legislation, best practices, and case laws
Experience and worked within Labour law area

**Skills**:
Ability to deal with challenging situations confidently, making decisions
Ability to provide sound and convincing recommendations and advice
Ability to comprehend, identify key trends and recommend improvements
Strong communicator, confident to influence and assertive skills
Ability to work towards and negotiate win-win outcomes
Project management skills; organise, prioritize activities and deliver outcomes in a clear timeframe
Open-minded and empathetic personality to engage with stakeholders and build trusting relationships to achieve common goals
Maintain a broad, strategic perspective while identifying and focusing on operational details.
German & English language proficiency
Additional Information

This is a fulltime temporary position, starting as soon as possible and limited to 1 year (depending on starting date). The role is based in Germany, Region Central Europe. Hybrid work is possible.
