**JOB DESCRIPTION**

designers, and user researchers.

**THE ROLE & THE TEAM**
The Reference Store Design team is responsible for building the best in class
baseline e-commerce experience on the Zalando platform. We create robust,
scalable and adaptable solutions for our customers shopping apparel, beauty, and lifestyle products. We discover new opportunities and work together with market and proposition teams to craft creative solutions to tackle them at scale.

As a Senior Product Designer, you will drive and contribute to strategic projects that shape how we might better serve our 48+ million customers in the future.
- You will work collaboratively with product management, engineering, content

designers and other stakeholders and different teams across Zalando.
- You will bring big-picture and systems thinking to life through collaboration,

creativity and craft. By thinking big, adaptable and at scale, you’ll make the
future tangible to fuel the vision of internal teams or markets.
- You will use a wide variety of skills and frameworks. While strong

foundational UX skills are a must, experience with designing for robust
platforms, and experience in systems thinking with a strong love of craft will
help you succeed.
- As a thought leader and role model, you will contribute to the Zalando

Product Design community and the larger European design industry by
sharing best practices, mentoring and teaching colleagues, crafting
best-in-class solutions, bar-raising in design reviews, and sparking inspiring
conversations.

- You have worked on ambiguous strategic projects, are able to create clarity amid uncertainty, and can guide team members through such projects.
- You have experience designing and delivering robust and scalable customer

experiences by partnering with stakeholders, engineers and other designers to
develop remarkable solutions that can be re-used and adapted.
- You love designing innovative technology products and place humans at the

center of your design process — ensuring that geeky tech and forward-looking
experience design always serves real human needs.
- You have a solid range of design skills in your ever growing toolkit
- including user research, workshop facilitation, UX and UI design
- to ensure fluid and holistic customer journeys.
