Its Fraunhofer Institute for Cell Therapy and Immunology IZI researches and develops special problem solutions at the interfaces of medicine, life sciences and engineering. One of its main tasks is contract research for biotechnological, pharmaceutical and medical technology companies, clinics, diagnostic laboratories and research institutes.

**What you will do**
- You will be in charge of the functional validation of gene vectors in vitro.
- In addition, you will transplant hematopoietic stem cells to establish hematopoietic reconstitution in mice and phenotype the transplanted animals.
- You will be responsible for the insertional profiling of vector integration sites.
- You will prepare project reports and publications and present your results at project meetings and at national and international conferences.
- By supervising junior scientists, you will actively pass on your knowledge.

**What you bring to the table**
- You have a doctorate in the field of life sciences.
- You have already gained experience in working with both mouse and human hematopoietic stem cells and are confident in the fields of molecular and cellular biology.
- You are familiar with working with mice and with the hematopoietic stem cell transplantation in mouse models.
- You are a strong communicator in written and spoken English, like to think outside the box of your own discipline, approach new questions with enthusiasm and enjoy interdisciplinary collaboration.
