**Tasks**
Do you want to play an active role in the transformation of the drivetrain to a purely electric drive? Then you've come to the right place
Our pre-development team designs and constructs the electric drives for future Mercedes-Benz brand cars and vans. We develop the optimum drive concept for each vehicle series. After the basic dimensioning of the new drivetrain, we design the units in Siemens NX, create the production drawings for the construction of prototypes and accompany the parts procurement, assembly and testing of the units. As an intern, you will be an essential part of our development team.
These are some of the challenges you will face:
- Participation in the pre-series development of new innovative eDrive systems
- Designing the eDrive concepts developed in the Siemens NX CAD program
- Clarification of relevant design criteria with other specialist departments
- Carrying out approximate strength and tolerance calculations for component dimensioning and design
- Participation in component procurement, supervision of initial assembly and test bench trials in the subsequent prototype phase
**Qualifications**
- Degree in mechanical engineering, automotive engineering or a comparable course of study
- Proficient in written and spoken German and English
- Confident handling of MS Office and a CAD program (preferably Siemens NX)
- Basic knowledge in the field of powertrain is an advantage
- Driving license class B desirable
- Motivation, commitment and ability to work in a team
- Reliability and trustworthiness
- Analytical mindset and strategic way of working
- Good spatial and technical imagination
- Enjoyment of construction
