In Group Research & Mercedes-Benz Cars Development (RD), we are shaping the automobile generations of the future. By this we mean innovative products of the highest quality and efficient development processes. We are already working today on vehicles that will secure Mercedes-Benz AG's technological leadership in the future.
Our department, Powertrain & Electric Drives Advanced Development, is designing the electric drives of the day after tomorrow for all Mercedes-Benz Cars. The goal: the best and most efficient drive of the future. In the early phase of development, it is necessary to simulatively evaluate the designed drives in a vehicle. This means that the drives are evaluated in terms of their impact on energy efficiency and performance in the system design. To this end, various tools and methods are constantly being developed and applied as part of the overall drive simulation.
These are some of the challenges you will face:
Collaboration in the further development of the simulation environment and tool chains Modeling and programming in Matlab/Simulink Evaluation of various simulated and measured data in Matlab/Microsoft Excel Research, elaboration and discussion of topics on total vehicle consumption and similar topics Data analysis and evaluation of measurements on the vehicle Documentation of work activities Qualifikationen Degree in automotive engineering, mechatronics, computer science or a comparable course of study Previous knowledge in the field of vehicle systems and drive technology Programming/modeling skills, preferably in Matlab/Simulink Confident written and spoken German and English skills Confident handling of MS Office Commitment and ability to work in a team Analytical way of thinking and strategic way of working, as well as a high degree of personal responsibilityAdditional information:
