**Duties**:

- Serves as Network Manager within the Network Enterprise Center (NEC), Network Infrastructure Division.
- Responsible for Local Area Network management, technical operation, analysis, installation, and repair.
- Applies analytical and evaluative processed related to classified/unclassified computer networks with telecommunications cryptographic devices and/or automation equipment.
- Maintains baseline and current target Department of Defense Information Network configuration in the NEC Area of Responsibility.
- Responsible for providing customer support to the LAN, Installation Campus Area Network, and local touch labor support to the Wide Area Network.
- Responsible for planning, coordinating and implementing goals, objectives and milestones for current target and objective commanders and Information Management Officers.
- Incumbent attends routine and regular, meetings and working groups, which require access to classified materials, equipment, programs, facilities and systems.

- Three year trial/probationary period may be required.
- Must be able to obtain and maintain TOP SECRET clearance with SCI.
- The IT classification for this position is IT-I. Position is designated as Special Sensitive.
- Must successfully pass urinalysis screening for illegal drug use prior to appointment and periodically thereafter to AR 600-85, Alcohol and Drug Abuse Prevention and Control Program.
- This position requires the employee to occasionally travel from the normal duty station, 10%.
- Incumbent (or Selectee) appointed to IA\IT positions must complete all DoD 8570.1-M, Information Assurance Workforce Improvement Program training and certification (baseline and computing environment (CE)) requirements within 6 months.
- Sustainment training is required as needed to keep the IA\IT professional proficient in their job duties.
- All individuals performing technical functions are required to sign a Privileged-Level Access Agreement (PAA) and Non-Disclosure Agreement (NDA).
- Position may be designated Emergency-Essential (E-E) in support of mobilization and wartime mission.
- If designated E-E, employee will be required to remain in the overseas position in the event of hostilities or mobilization until relieved by proper authority.
- E-E employees are required to undergo nuclear-biological and chemical training and to participate in readiness tests, mobilization, alerts, and field training exercises.
- Employee must pass a medical examination and receive required immunizations for the overseas/deployed location. Prior to appointment to the position, employee will sign a statement agreeing to the E-E condition of employment.
- Position may be designated "Mission Essential". In the event of severe weather conditions or other such emergency type situations (natural or man-made disaster)
- the incumbent is required to report to work or remain at work as scheduled to support mission operations.
- Position Requires the Ability to lift 35 lbs.
- The work requires physical exertion and is normally performed in office and Telecommunication Room (TR) environments involving light risk.
- Obtain and maintain a TMP driver’s license.

- In accordance with DoD CES Personnel System Implementation Guidance for Overseas Rotations and Administrative Return Rights, employees must be able to satisfy the rotation requirement and tour limitations in DoD Instruction 1400.25 Volume 1230.

Specialized experience would be demonstrated by **(1)** developing local network operating procedures; **(2) **operation, maintenance and troubleshooting of NIPR, SIPR, networking software, switches, hardware and related networking components; **(3) **analyze networking equipment and software to provide recommendations for upgrades or to improve efficiency.
- The specialized experience must include, or be supplemented by, information technology related experience (paid or unpaid experience and/or completion of specific, intensive training, as appropriate) which demonstrates each of the four competencies, as defined:
