**Duties**:

- Review the work of subordinates and accept, amend, or reject such work and reviews results to ensure intended outcomes were achieved.
- Plan work to be accomplished, sets priorities, and prepares schedules.
- Serve as a Senior System Administrator with focus on the operations and maintenance of domain controllers, automated support systems, backend servers, automatic data processing (ADP) equipment, data storage devices, and software.
- Work independently, or with other IT specialists, to load and maintain manufacturer-supplied software on multiple servers and storage devices throughout the command.
- Plan for and install original or new releases of server operating systems (OS) software.
- Ensure that the installation plan includes provisions for hardware testing, training, and documentation.
- Work with functional representatives to identify work processes and technical requirements, ensuring that all customer conditions are met to produce a functional and desired information technology product.
- Devise solutions with consideration of effects on related processes and files and alternate methods to accomplish desired results.

- Three year trial/probationary period may be required.
- Must be able to obtain and maintain TOP SECRET eligibility with access to Sensitive Compartmented Information (SCI). The IT classification for this position is IT I. Position is designated as Special Sensitive.
- Incumbent is required to satisfactorily complete the appropriate training and obtain the required certification/recertification for this position as outlined in DOD Publication 8570.01-M information.
- Overtime will be required on short notice.
- Incumbent will be required to temporarily work extended and irregularly tours of duty to include days, nights, shifts and weekend.
- This position is covered by the Civilian Drug Testing Program. Must successfully pass urinalysis screening for illegal drug use prior to appointment and periodically thereafter.
- Incumbent is required to sign a DA Form 5019-R, Condition of Employment for certain civilian positions identified as critical under the Drug Abuse Testing Program.
- TDY up to 10% may be required.
- This position is considered Mission Essential.
- This position has been designated as "Key" and shall not be vacated during a national emergency or mobilization as doing so would seriously impair the capability of the organization to function effectively.
- The incumbent must be exempted from recall to active duty and will receive training to ensure mission accomplishment of sustaining base operations during mobilization.

To qualify based on your experience, your resume must describe one year of specialized experience that demonstrates the possession of knowledge, skills, abilities, and competencies necessary for immediate success in the position. Such experience is typically in or directly related to the work of the position to be filled. Specialized experience would be demonstrated by overseeing system administrators, ensuring efficient task allocation and adherence to schedules; Ensuring compliance with policies, standard operating procedures, and guidance; Providing status reports regarding information system projects, issues, or developments; Implement and enforcing security protocol to protect data and systems; Prioritizing work assignments and setting clear goals.

The specialized experience includes, or was supplemented by, information technology related experience (paid or unpaid experience and/or completion of specific, intensive training, as appropriate) which demonstrates each of the four competencies, as defined:
