**Working field**:
- The main role of this position is to assist in a series of systematic reviews of:
- Guidelines for the design, conduct, analysis, and reporting of in vitro research
- Key variables relevant to the design, conduct, and reporting of in vitro systematic reviews
- A specific question related to in vitro neurological research, e.g. the use of human induced pluripotent stem cells (IPSCs) for modelling neuronal injury
The main tasks will include: searching and screening for relevant publications, extracting study design variables and quantitative data from scientific publications, critically appraising literature and conducting risk of bias assessments, and data synthesis.
Additionally, the role will involve screening publications to identify studies including in vitro experiments, in order to assess the performance of manual vs. automated screening methods.
The role will also involve managing project tasks in collaboration with an international team to ensure that objectives are carried out in a coordinated manner.

**Requirements**:
- Ordinarily enrolled student in biomedical or biological sciences
- Keen interest in evidence synthesis and research improvement
- Excellent communication skills and willingness to learn
- Ability to work effectively as part of a team and to manage individual projects
- Excellent attention to detail and ability to avoid error when performing repetitive tasks
- Excellent English language skills
Desirable:
- Experience conducting or assisting in systematic reviews or systematic review processes
- Experience conducting laboratory-based research, especially in vitro experiments
- Experience with the R programming language
