**Job requirements and responsibilities**:
- Research on the design and verification of processors with provable security (in particular w.r.t. side channel
leakage) and timing-predictability properties (enabling their use in hard real-time systems). The emergence of the
RISC-V ecosystem provides a rich and growing set of existing real-world designs of varying complexity that may
serve as verification targets.
- Assist in teaching courses at the undergraduate and graduate level; ample time to perform research towards a
PhD will be given.
**Your academic qualifications**:
- Completed university studies in Computer Science or a related field
- Language skills (according to GER): English-C1

The pay grade assigned to an employee depends on their professional qualifications and the number of years of service. Each pay grade is
further subdivided into levels. Entry-level employees with no previous experience will initially be assigned a level 1 rating. After one year at
level 1 of the E10 pay grade, an employee will move up to level 2. After a further two years, the employee will move to level 3, etc.
- Course background in computer architecture, hardware description languages, design automation
- Background in formal methods (model checking, SMT solvers, abstract interpretation) and computer security

- Prior research experience is considered a plus
- Strong verbal and written communication skills
- Independence and “drive” to perform research and to publish in high-impact venues
