QUALIFICATIONS, KNOWLEDGE AND SKILL REQUIREMENTS:
The qualifications and skill requirements of this position include:
- An Associate’s degree preferred;- Demonstrated commitment to supporting student success;- Proven leadership in solving student problems;- Documented work experience in the area of customer service;- Strong communication skills - both oral and written;- The ability to relate well to a diverse student population;-
- The ability to maintain strict accuracy and be detail oriented;- Ability to work independently as well as with others and be self-motivated;- Proven clerical experience;- The ability to effectively handle multiple tasks at once;- Knowledge of proper telephone etiquette

ESSENTIAL JOB FUNCTIONS AND RESPONSIBILITIES:
The essential job functions and responsibilities for this position include, but are not limited to:
- Answering telephones and responding to telephone inquiries;- Handling all front office walk-ins; students, parents, etc- Filing; data entry;- Assisting students in verification of services to third parties;- Interacting with students effectively;- Assisting students/parents with document verification- Supporting all activities of the Financial Aid Office and other
- offices as necessary.

SPECIFIC DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES:
The specific duties and responsibilities of this position include, but are not limited to:- Supporting the Financial Aid Office in record keeping-
- Communicating with students and coordinating with other IRSC offices and staff as appropriate regarding work performed.- Answering incoming telephone calls and responding to telephone inquiries;- Assisting students and parents with questions and paperwork;-
- Completing standard form requests;- Entering and updating documents and other information in the computer as required;- Distributing financial aid and scholarship information;- Performing other duties as assigned.

ESSENTIAL PHYSICAL SKILLS:
This position requires an ability to sit, stand, walk, bend, lift, reach up, stoop, and carry items occasionally in excess of twenty-five (25) pounds. It also requires manual dexterity to operate standard office machines, such as, copier, fax, calculator, telephone, and other equipment as necessary. IRSC expects its employees to follow proper safety standards while employed by the College.
