The ventures portfolio, including Shell Remote Sense, is on a path to a 10x growth and the Commercial Lead is a key enabler of that ambition. Digitalizing the feedback about customer machine health is a growing market, and working across the globe and across businesses, the aim is to leverage Shell Remote Sense’s market leading data and analytics platform to capture that growing market and deliver customers deep insights and feedback.
**What’s the role?**
The Commercial Lead role is in place specifically to drive growth in EMEA and AP for the Lubricants Venture Portfolio. This role is heavily weighted with work towards for Shell Remote Sense by looking for significant scaling opportunities, supporting regional needs and ambitions, and looking at value generating NBD opportunities, and supporting the broader portfolio. With the ambition for new services, the Commercial Lead will be empowered to look broadly at the current offer in the market, develop the right commercial construct(s) and needs, and bring those to life to enable significant scaling, while also supporting the future development of the product basis market and customer feedback.
Critical ownership will sit with the relationships and deployment across Global Key Account customers, working jointly with the GKA team, as well as specific scaling initiatives such as channel partners and Macro Distributors. While Shell Remote Sense is the driving force for the role, there will be opportunity to support growth and value realization of other Ventures in the portfolio, relevant to Lubricants and Sectors and Decarbonization.
**Key Duties and Responsibilities**
- Key interface for scaling opportunities (Global Key Accounts, Macro Distributors, Channel Partners)
- Owning the regional P&L and broader pipeline
- Route to market
- Sales execution
- Pricing and commercial framework structures
- Pilot and proof of concept deployment
- Conversion of pilots to full scale paying customers

- Services sales coaching for the broader Lubricants organization
**What we need from you?**
- Bachelor’s degree in business administration, Master’s degree is a preference
- Able to develop, own, and drive a sales pipeline
- Commercially minded and proven track record of commercial delivery
- Engagement with external stakeholders - business owners, entrepreneurs, investment teams, complex customers
- Experience in managing challenging stakeholder groups with value realization
- Experience in deal origination and delivery
- Delivering through others and engaging leadership to bring deliverables to realization
- Agile ways of working and product development
