The Senior Director EMEA Operations is responsible for leading the EMEA Environment, Health & Safety (EHS), Manufacturing, Engineering, Supply Chain, and Quality functions (with indirect responsibility for Procurement), with the objective to ensure world class operations across the region to deliver on time, high quality and cost-effective products to our customers. They’ll drive continuous improvement in Operations by providing functional leadership to an organization of ~1200 employees across six manufacturing facilities in Pakistan, Germany and the UK. They will oversee the regional capital budget and act as key contact for the region when interfacing with the global Operations Functions.

Core Responsibilities:

- Environment, Health, Safety & Sustainability - Lead and drive the Safety agenda to ensure zero accidents or incidents within the Region. Ensure full compliance in the Environmental area; oversee and review related projects and anticipate regulation changes to ensure operations continuity and compliance. Lead and sponsor EMEA’s Sustainability agenda, identifying and executing relevant plans based on global strategy.
- Operations Strategy - Ensure delivery of Operational & Strategic capital plan aligned to business objectives; both 1 year and 5-year planning horizons, for the EMEA region. By intimate understanding of internal operations networks and the customer’s needs, identify opportunities and drive innovation in Operations capability to support growth objectives. Evaluate potential M&A targets from an operations perspective and develops plans for integration and delivery of synergies.
- Operational, Quality & Supply Excellence - Deliver NSS (Net Structural Savings) commitment to improve EMEA manufacturing cost position in both Europe and Pakistan. Ensure effective delivery of regional supply to meet customer needs and ensuring effective Sales & Operational Planning (S&OP). Identify potential external and internal operations business risks and deploys plans to mitigate. Set the Quality improvement agenda for EMEA, adapting systems to better meet customer needs and reduce risks for the organization. Propose and lead network optimization efforts to ensure best level of utilization and ROIC (Return on Invested Capital) across the region.
- Continuous Improvement - Bring best practices to the organization - champion new processes, remove barriers and adapt current processes to facilitate improvement. Identify and address cultural and organizational impediments to implementing continuous improvement methodologies. Ensure alignment of systems and KPIs to ensure compliance with regulations and Ingredion X Matrix. Lead on going enhancements in the operating model to enable organizational effectiveness aligned with global and regional priorities. Foster alignment and support among key leaders on the multi-year implementation plan for IPS (Ingredion Performance System - Ingredion’s Lean and Continuous Improvement system).
- People Leadership - Build and grow the organization to create a best-in-class Operations function by leading the team with rigor and pursuit of excellence, developing talent for export to broader regional roles and broader global operations roles. Develop and mentor site Operations teams to ensure appropriate capability and talent bench strength and succession plans in the region to meet business goals.

Mandatory requirements:

- Min. 15 years’ experience in Manufacturing, Lean/Continuous Improvement, Procurement and Supply Chain roles in complex business to business environments, preferably in food or chemical industries
