Our Digital Engineering division delivers and integrates digital solutions to enable renewable energy production and reliable operations. As such digital engineering is the supplier of digital solutions within the Business Unit Offshore Wind and is responsible for supporting the entire value chain (from winning bids to building assets and operating assets) with a focus on Operational Technology (OT) and IT. We realize synergies in control and analytical modelling, and we enable optimization of engineering design by capturing and integrating all relevant data (end-to-end).
We strive for the highest standards of cyber security for our portfolio within BU Offshore Wind as well as other BA Wind business units.
Now we are looking for a Digital Product Portfolio Director in our Digital Engineering team for our office in Hamburg, Kolding or Amsterdam.
Your role as Digital Product Portfolio Director:
As (Digital) Product Portfolio Director you are an active part in the organization and acting as a binding link between the BU offshore pillars (WIN, BUILD and OPERATE) to bring the digital portfolio and business to a success by:
- being a strong advocate for the Engineering Backbone operating model,
- ensuring a consistent, solution-based approach.
You will become responsible to ensure a digital portfolio approach across our Asset and Product projects by capturing the learnings from supplier interactions, project execution and operations to support the identification of new concept developments, ensure existing products remain valid, and the optimization of early stage execution projects. You will further mediate between competing interests across different stakeholders to protect the interests of the BU as a whole.
The Product Portfolio Director will be responsible for overseeing the entire digital product portfolio of the BU Offshore organization, which would include managing the order book for the digital engineering department. Responsibilities will include:
- Defining the process for creating and managing work in the order book.
- Ensuring alignment with business goals: You would ensure the order book is aligned with overall business goals and strategies across the value chain (Win, Build, Operate). This involves understanding the priorities of the different value chain pillars and business units and ensuring that the order book supports those priorities.
- Dedicating resources and / or delivery teams effectively ensuring that the right people are assigned to the right tasks at the right time.
- Stakeholder management with stakeholders across the organization to ensure that the order book meets their needs and expectations.
All in all your role would include ensuring that the order book is an effective tool for managing the digital engineering department’s workload and that it supports the overall goals and objectives of the organization.

Who are you?
To be up and running quickly and feel comfortable in your role we think it requires the following qualifications:
- Proven experience in change management practices;
- Proven experience in working with large and complex digital portfolios (Portfolio certification will be considered an advantage (E.g. PfMP, APM, MoP, CPPM etc.);
- Experience with portfolio management tools and software;
- Strong understanding of Digital Transformation, OT technologies and IT/OT convergence, including sensors, networks, and data analytics;
- Strong analytical and problem-solving skills, with the ability to identify and manage risks and issues;
- Ability to work in large and complex organization;
- Command of English is strong, both verbally and written;
- You lead change, you are accountable, and you create trust;
- You are interested in leading business and developing people and teams.

- Strong leadership skills and the ability to create and maintain a motivating environment in a multicultural and multi-disciplinary environment, driving progress and solutions towards the target;
