**Duties**:

- Provides analytic expertise and assistance in directing, assigning and accounting for substantive intelligence analysis in support of national
- and theater-level strategic and operational planning.
- Defines critical Signals Intelligence (SIGINT) topics and oversees comprehensive and unique research efforts on complex analytical projects.
- Performs long-range planning in support of existing and projected organizational mission requirements to analyze and report signals intelligence information in support of political and military capabilities.
- Determines overall resource capabilities to provide existing/projected requirements, and identifies resource shortfalls.
- Interprets collection data and provides input for the development or modification of collection, processing and analysis systems.
- Evaluates, plans, coordinates, and develops substantive intelligence analysis and tradecraft development for the accomplishment of the national and theater intelligence mission and counterterrorism.
- Assesses complex, sensitive intelligence products and recommends the most effective product type and format for the dissemination of initial intelligence.
- Administratively and technically supervises work across different functions to include analysts, operators, and linguists involved in intelligence production activities.
- Plans for and makes changes in the organization of work to achieve efficient and economical operations within allowable costs, staffing level, and policies.
- Coordinates and de-conflicts ongoing and projected production with higher level headquarters and outside agencies.
- Informs and persuades others to gain concurrence on significant operations that contribute to the Intelligence Community, USEUCOM, and NATO intel products to ensure they satisfy nation and theater strategic and operational planning requirements.

- Two year trial/probationary period may be required.
- In accordance with Change 3 to AR 600-85, Alcohol and Drug Abuse Prevention and Control Program, individual must successfully pass a urinalysis screening for illegal drug use prior to appointment and periodically thereafter.
- Must be willing to undergo and successfully complete a counterintelligence-scope polygraph examination with No Deception Indicated (NDI) on a pre-appointment and periodic basis.
- Must be able to obtain and maintain a Top Secret (TS) security clearance based on a T5 investigation/Single Scope Background Investigation (SSBI) with eligibility for sensitive compartmented information (SCI).
- Must obtain and maintain access to National Security Agency and Defense Intelligence Agency-accredited facilities and networks.
- Temporary Duty (TDY) travel will be required at 15% or less of the time.

This definition of specialized experience is typical of work performed at the next lower grade/level position in the federal service (GG/GS-13).
